We are very pleased that now also Candice’ final piece of her PhD work with us got published in Molecular Therapy – Methods & Clinical Development. Her work etitled “Gene editing enables non-invasive in vivo PET imaging of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived liver bud organoids” demonstrates safe gene editing of human clinical-grade induced pluripotent stem stells to render them long-term in vivo traceable by PET imaging. This was a fantastic collaboration with colleagues from Yokohama University, where Candice spent a summer to get access to an animal model unavailable in the UK. We are grateful to the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) who enabled Candice’ stay in Yokohama through generous funding.
